who are you? where are you? so, are you a southerner? what are you up to these days? do you make these soaps the fight club way? are these soaps natural and good for my skin? got a question? ask me!
~*~ who are you?? you can call me jen (aka, mistress). back to top where are you??
decatur, ga. it's a nice neighborhood just outside of atlanta. i work in midtown (atlanta).
back to top so, are you a southerner??
no! :) originally from wisconsin. i moved down here in the fall of '99, kind of on a whim. but it's a whim that worked out. and no, i don't like country music either. and ps - johnny cash isn't country, he's american folk, so shut up. ;)
back to top what are you up to these days?
currently engaged to bryan, the most wonderful man on the planet. we're trying to plan the wedding, which is an interesting and randomly stressful thing to do. bryan's an official soap tester (i think it's a ploy to get free soap ;)
back to top are these soaps made the fight club way? with FAT?
actually, no. that's the hard way. those soaps have to cure for about 2 weeks after you make them, and you can't make clear (glycerin) soap that way. so, i make them a different way. it works out better for everyone - including you. you get clear soaps, and you get them faster. woohoo!
back to top are these soaps natural and good for my skin?
most definitely. i only use ingredients of the highest quality. all the bases are use contain ingredients which are great for skin care - like aloe vera, olive oil, honey, and goat's milk. i've tried many different brands until i found the perfect ones - long lasting, and absolutely wonderful. the colors i use are non-harming as well. i try to use natural oxide powders whenever possible. many of the scents i use are pure and natural essential oils. those that are not are carefully crafted fragrance oils which are as natural as can be. the choice to use a frangrance oil vs an essential oil takes into consideration a few things: price (remember, if the fragrance oil costs $5 and the essential oil costs $25 for the same amount, that cost is turned around to your final cost), the maker of the oil, and the scent (simply, which has a more true scent?). if you have any other questions about my ingredients, please do not hesitate to ask me.
